Job Summary
Provide comprehensive hematology/oncology services to veterans at the VA Central California Health Care System in Fresno, CA. Responsibilities include performing consultations, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing inpatient and outpatient care; expertise in chemotherapy, bone marrow aspiration/biopsy, and participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards. Engage in research and clinical trials, potentially join UCSF Fresno as staff faculty, and train residents, fellows, and medical students rotating at the VA. Coordinate care with nurses, pharmacists, and other disciplines, sign chemotherapy regimens, obtain patient consents, triage consults, and comply with VA policies on conduct, scheduling, and attendance. Lead quality improvement efforts and contribute to education and ongoing professional development in hematology/oncology for veterans.
