Job Summary
Develop and review work packages, including labor, material, and time estimates. Create clear, step-by-step work instructions and incorporate safety, testing, radiological, and quality requirements. Coordinate planning activities for mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiological systems while identifying and resolving work restraints. Support outage, emergent, and routine maintenance planning activities and ensure work packages close out. Interface with operations, maintenance, engineering, and safety personnel to align planning with facility policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate documentation within approved work management systems. This full-time, on-site role supports 24/7 operations at TA-55 in Los Alamos, NM, requiring a Panama schedule with day and night shifts, on-call, and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain DOE Q-Clearance (active clearance not required to start)
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related work planning experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience developing or reviewing work packages in a regulated industrial, nuclear, DOE, or similar environment
- Ability to work in a secure area and handle confidential information
- Ability to support 24/7 operations, including nights, weekends, on-call, and overtime as required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in nuclear, radiological, or high-hazard facilities
- Prior experience supporting DOE or NNSA facilities
- Proficiency or familiarity with: Maintenance Work Planning (MWP)
- Proficiency or familiarity with: Primavera P6
- Proficiency or familiarity with: Asset Suite (preferred, not required)
- PPA Certification (nice to have)
- Experience resolving work restraints and coordinating across multiple disciplines
