Job Summary
The Work-Based Learning Coordinator will build and maintain relationships with area employers and partners to promote and coordinate OJT (On-the-Job Training) and Paid Work Experience opportunities. Responsibilities include introducing employers to AJC services, promoting OJT/PWE opportunities and incentives, developing career opportunities with Career Advisors, coordinating OJT/PWE contracts, conducting outreach materials with AJC partners, supporting hiring events, and handling participant records and follow-ups. The role involves cultivating a network of business leads, acting as an ambassador to the business community, and traveling regionally as needed. Requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), strong presentation/sales/marketing skills, excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and the ability to work in team settings; proficiency in Microsoft Office; and a valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle. Travel and flexible work arrangements (onsite, virtual, or hybrid) are supported. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate degree or some college preferred
- Strong presentation, sales, and marketing skills
- Demonstrated telephone, computer, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining flexibility to meet contract and operational needs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Regional travel required
- Able to work fully onsite, fully virtual, or in a hybrid environment
