Job Summary
Operate log cranes, wheel loaders, knuckle booms, skid steers, and man lifts while cross-training in all applicable heavy equipment. Diagnose problems and perform routine or preventive maintenance on chipper/debarker and mobile equipment. Carry out administrative functions to maintain inventory and production reports, and execute housekeeping duties to ensure designated areas remain clean and hazard-free. Requires minimum two years of industrial equipment experience, a high school diploma, and computer literacy. Full-time, on-site role in LaSalle, LA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating industrial equipment
- Ability to adapt to working both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Computer literate, capable of performing basic tasks such as sending emails and reviewing work documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in wood or fibre procurement, or in the forestry industry
