Job Summary
Woodyard Operator I at a wood pellet manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment such as log crane, loaders, knuckleboom, skid steer, and man lift; cross-training on applicable heavy equipment; diagnosing problems and performing routine or PM maintenance; completing routine administrative functions and maintaining inventory/production reports; keeping the workspace clean and free of safety hazards. Requires experience in wood/fiber procurement or forest industry, and a high school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of industrial equipment operation experience; ability to work in a team or independently; basic computer literacy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years operating industrial equipment experience
- Experience with operation/maintenance of heavy equipment (log crane, loaders, knuckleboom, skid steer, man lift)
- Ability to adapt to team or lone working environments
- Computer literate (email, document review)
