Woodyard Operator

Job Summary
Operate and maintain heavy wood-processing equipment including log crane, loaders, knuckleboom, skid steer, and man lift at a wood pellet facility. Cross-train on applicable equipment, diagnose problems, perform routine PM maintenance, and complete administrative tasks to support yard production and inventory reporting. Maintain housekeeping and safety in the work area; high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of industrial equipment experience are required. Strong teamwork and basic computer/ documentation skills are also needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years operating industrial equipment experience
- Experience in wood/fiber procurement or forest industry (preferred)
- Ability to adapt to working within a team or lone working environment
- Computer literate, with the ability to perform simple tasks such as email, reviewing work documentation
