Job Summary
Build and shape wood components for residential elevators and accessibility products by reading blueprints, determining material specifications, and operating machinery such as saws, routers, and planers. Assemble parts using fastening methods, use hand and power tools safely, and inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods for quality. Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments while keeping the work area clean and hazard-free. Participate in cross-training and support team members as needed. This hands-on manufacturing role offers a consistent first-shift schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in woodworking, cabinetmaking, carpentry, construction, or manufacturing
- Ability to accurately read measurements, blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch throughout the workday
- Must be able to use their hands to grasp, handle, and operate tools and materials
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to safely operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools
- Must be able to work around moving equipment and typical manufacturing noise
- Must be able to work in occasional hot or cold conditions
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and any applicable position-specific testing
