Job Summary
Manage prenatal, family planning, and postpartum care for essentially healthy women and newborns under the Director of the Midwifery Service. Perform labor and delivery, including infant resuscitation and physical exams, while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Admit patients for history, physicals, and labs; establish individualized care plans aligned with departmental guidelines. Provide prenatal assessments, limited third-trimester sonograms, and NST/BPP knowledge. Prescribe medication and educate patients on health supervision.
Required Qualifications
- ACNM certification
- NYS Midwifery license
- Masters in Midwifery
- Midwifery Certification-NYS
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Midwife
