Job Summary
Operate and monitor wood-treating equipment, including cylinders, pumps, valves, and tanks, while loading and unloading cylinders to stage treated product for storage and shipment. Monitor metrics, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure lumber meets customer specifications and applicable standards. Inspect treated lumber to identify and report issues, performing routine inspections, housekeeping, lubrication, and preventive maintenance. Follow all company policies, safety standards, standard operating procedures, and environmental procedures while communicating effectively with operations, maintenance, supervision, and other departments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- The candidate must also be able to pass the Florida Department of Agriculture Commercial Applicator License test within the first 90 days
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, wood products, chemical processing, equipment operation, or related fields
- Forklift experience
