Job Summary
Wood Product Assembler on the Cabinetry Team assembling desks, credenzas, laterals, file cabinets, hutches, bookcases, and storage units using pneumatic guns and other tools. Follow standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and comply with Health & Safety and Tayco policies. Position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. in a manufacturing environment, and using hand/power tools with attention to safety and quality.
Required Qualifications
- Able to operate hand/power tools (drills, pneumatic guns, wrapping machines, etc.)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem solving in daily work
- Able to multi-task and adapt to changing conditions
- Works well with others and builds effective working relationships within the department and Tayco
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them
- Has good hand-eye coordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and see closely/listen intently in order to detect flaws or errors and achieve detailed results
- Able to understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices
- Knowledge of WHMIS and OHSA
- Must be trained in Health & Safety
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment is recommended
- Pay Rate: $21.80 per hour
- Hours of Work: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
