Job Summary

Delivers appropriately structured lessons and designs academic programming that supports critical thinking for middle and high school students with emotional and behavioral challenges. Selects rigorous assessments to analyze student results and guide instructional decisions by 100% accuracy, ensuring activities are driven by data. Effectively utilizes program methodologies to address social and behavioral deficits while engaging in self-reflection to support high levels of learning. Adheres to internal VHBG Policy Manuals, federal, state, and accreditation guidelines. Works with parents and stakeholders to address academic and behavioral concerns, establishing open communication lines. Markets to service providers to influence client placements and participates in School Improvement Teams to refine educational programming. Requires a professional or provisional license in core subject or special education, with a preference for a master's degree and experience supporting adolescents with identified special education needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional or Provisional License in Core Subject Area or Special Education
  • Must be able to successfully clear background checks associated with job
  • Must successfully complete in-house training

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters' degree from an accredited University or College in the field of Education, Special Education and/or another related Education Degree
  • Experience supporting adolescents or young adults who have identified special education needs or identified with behavioral deficits
