Job Summary
Drive sales budgets and deliver an exceptional shopping experience by teaching and adhering to the P's of retail, including People, Product, Price, Purchasing, Position, Presentation, Promotion, and Pro Services. Engage customers, strategically merchandise inventory, and ensure store presentation standards meet company guidelines while guaranteeing safety and security through loss prevention procedures. Analyze business reports such as P&L statements and category performance data to optimize merchandising, pricing, and stock levels, utilizing point-of-sale systems for accurate inventory management. Supervise store associates by reviewing performance, training staff, and administering disciplinary action for policy violations, while ensuring compliance with scheduling, hiring, and payroll processes. Assist with store-level human resources and loss prevention issues, and manage peak traffic periods through effective scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years retail management experience
- Proven ability to direct operations
- Ability to perform in a high volume, highly complex location
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter
- Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training associates
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in managing a fast-paced environment adapting to change with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability to increase the company's overall market share
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to exert 20-30 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to exert greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly
