Job Summary
Achieve sales budgets and deliver exceptional customer service by teaching and adhering to the P's of retail, including People, Product, Price, Purchasing, Position, Presentation, Promotion, and Pro Services. Strategically merchandize inventory, maintain store presentation standards, and guarantee safety through loss prevention protocols. Analyze business reports such as P&L, Category Performance, and Store Purchase Order Analysis to optimize merchandising and pricing. Supervise store associates by reviewing performance, training staff, managing workload, and addressing disciplinary actions while ensuring compliance with scheduling and payroll processes. Open and close the store as needed, supporting the Chief Executive Merchant in handling human resources and loss prevention issues.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years retail management experience
- Proven ability to direct operations
- Ability to perform in a high volume, highly complex location
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter
- Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training associates
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in managing a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to change with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability to increase the company's overall market share
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to exert 20-30 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to exert greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands
- Ability to climb or balance
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
