Wood Department Manager

Job Summary
Drive sales budgets and deliver exceptional customer service by teaching associates the P's of retail and ensuring store presentation standards. Strategically merchandize inventory, analyze business reports including P&L and category performance, and maintain accurate stock levels through cycle counts and shipping. Supervise store operations by managing peak traffic schedules, training associates, and addressing performance issues or loss prevention concerns. Conduct weekly competitive shops and communicate pricing or inventory updates to the senior team. Work Monday through Sunday across store and pickup hours, lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally in a warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years retail management experience
- Proven ability to direct operations
- Ability to perform in a high volume, highly complex location
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter
- Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training associates
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in managing a fast-paced environment adapting to change with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability to increase the company's overall market share
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to exert 20-30 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to exert greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to reach with arms and hands

- Availability Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Availability Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Availability Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
