Job Summary
Wood Department Manager responsible for achieving sales budgets and delivering exceptional customer service in a high-volume flooring retail environment. Leads merchandising, inventory control, pricing, and loss-prevention adherence; trains and develops staff; analyzes reports (P&L, CPR, BAT, STPOA, STPRC) and ensures brand and operating standards. Requires strong leadership, coaching, scheduling, and collaboration with store leadership to optimize performance and customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years retail management experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training associates
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to perform in a high volume, highly complex location
- Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in managing a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
