Womenswear Merchant, Joe Fresh

Assistant Buyer/Merchant supports the Senior Buyer in managing day-to-day buying strategy with a focus on data analysis and product. Responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting, category and assortment planning ahead of development, creating analytical reports on sales, inventory and gross margin, maintaining weekly/seasonal sales reports to drive assortment, SKU and receipt planning, maximizing inventory productivity and gross profit through markdowns and promotions, evaluating delivery performance, and coordinating with cross-functional teams (design, sourcing, product development, marketing, visual merchandising, supply chain). Works with Associate Buyer to ensure proper PO processing and deadlines, completes weekly ad hoc reporting, and supports achieving sales, profit and inventory targets. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management or related field, at least 3 years of buying office experience, strong interpersonal/communication skills, and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
