Job Summary
The Belk Women's Selling Specialist role focuses on delivering an outstanding customer experience as a subject matter expert in a dedicated department, driving store objectives and metrics through personalized service, clienteling, and tailored product recommendations. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, building brand loyalty, leveraging selling tools and omnichannel capabilities to discuss inventory and product features, applying brand guides and training materials to increase selling opportunities, maintaining visually appealing selling areas, and supporting promotions, events, and store-wide initiatives. The position emphasizes teamwork, vendor/customer/community relationship-building, and contributing to a positive store culture, with responsibilities in omni-channel fulfillment and asset protection as needed; the role requires adaptability to a flexible schedule, comfort with technology, and adherence to brand standards and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Dedication to customer service and a drive to achieve store objectives
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to store success
- Comfortable with technology, including smart phones, tablet computers and Windows-based operating systems
- Available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must regularly move around all store areas and be accessible to customers; able to bend, reach, stretch, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs
