Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and collaborative treatment planning according to ASAM guidelines. Perform individual and group treatment in accordance with best practices while providing medication monitoring and drug testing. Maintain a calm, alcohol and drug-free homelike environment through facility coverage, withdrawal management supervision, and weekly case reviews. Collaborate closely with counselors, case managers, and the program coordinator to ensure compliance with DHCS regulations and detox protocols. Attend required county meetings and training sessions. This role supports Bi-Bett's mission to provide culturally appropriate, women-centered treatment in Alameda and Solano Counties, utilizing trauma-informed care and crisis management skills.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the field of Substance Abuse
- Must have experience with multicultural populations
- Must have experience with crisis management
- Must have experience with trauma informed care
- Must have experience with co-occurring disorders
- Must be able to obtain background check clearance
- Must be able to obtain drug test clearance
- Must be available for day shifts
- Must be available for swing shifts
- Must be available for weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Certified AOD Counselor
- Registration to obtain certification as an Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counselor issued by one of the certifying agencies approved by the State of California
- Completion of a Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling
- BS or MS in related field
- AMFT's
- ASW's
- Excellent communications skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Health Records
- Experience with computer programs
- Evidence of being an effective team player
- Knowledge of women centered treatment
