Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner sought to join a Dallas, TX women’s health/OB-GYN practice. Responsibilities include managing gynecology patients with charting, returning patient lab calls, patient education, electronically or phone-based prescriptions, and conducting in-office procedures such as pap smears, endometrial biopsies, and IUD placements. Will assist with scheduling patient appointments and surgical procedures at Medical City-Dallas Hospital. Clinic volume up to 20 patients per day; role supports physician with coverage when the physician is away. Key duties also include patient education, lab follow-ups, and coordinating office operations. Required credentials include NP certification, unrestricted state licensure, DEA license, CPR/BLS/NALS, and strong clinical assessment/treatment-planning abilities; ability to make autonomous clinical decisions and communicate effectively with patients and the care team. One year of full-time NP experience is preferred. Compensation and benefits are noted as competitive with PTO, CME reimbursement, health/dental/vision, 401k, and malpractice coverage.
Required Qualifications
- National Nurse Practitioner certification or ability to obtain
- Unrestricted, active licensure in the State or ability to obtain
- Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
- CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain
- Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
- Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff
- Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
