Job Summary
Deliver assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries to professional and pathway SCCC players while advocating for high-quality healthcare to optimize performance and reduce injury risk. Manage player injury and illness in collaboration with the Club Medical Officer and Senior Physiotherapist, tailoring evidence-based rehabilitation programmes to maximise player availability. Attend training sessions, fixtures, and overseas camps to provide acute injury support and contribute to injury prevention strategies within the multidisciplinary team. Maintain medical records in line with industry standards and the ECB Injury Management Database, communicate fitness status, and support international player management as required.
Required Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP)
- Current advanced trauma management and emergency care accreditation (or ability to complete this in the near future if successful)
- Experience working within an elite sport or high-performance environment
- Full UK Driving License
- High standards of personal and professional integrity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in women's sport
- Experience working with youth / developmental athletes in a sporting environment
- Knowledge of female athlete health considerations (e.g., RED-S, menstrual cycle awareness, bone health)
- Experience working within professional cricket
