Job Summary
Intern will assist childcare team to implement family-based programming for women and children, oversee nursery activities for ages 0-4 (and occasionally school-aged children), develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and family events, provide support to families and volunteers, participate in overnight Family Camp, perform case management tasks including referrals and monthly home visits, assist in at-home visits inspections, document weekly activities for grant reporting, and serve as an advocate for families recovering from homelessness and addiction. Opportunities for training in Social Work/Psychology include exposure to motivational interviewing, introduction to case management, and introduction to evidence-based programming.
