Job Summary
Head Chef to oversee all kitchen operations in the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Bites at the Washington DC train station, leading back-of-house teams, driving food quality, sanitation, and financial performance. Responsibilities include managing food and labor costs, designing seasonal menus and production systems, hiring/training/supervising kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and collaborating with Front of House and Beverage teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Requires hands-on leadership during service, strong culinary expertise, and the ability to maintain high standards across kitchen and storage areas. Background in high-volume dining, Food Safety Certification, and English (Spanish preferred) for team communication are requested. Benefits include PTO, training, health/dental/vision, and 401k.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of kitchen or BOH management experience in a high-volume dining environment
- Food Safety Certification required
- Must be able to pass all required background checks
- Proficiency in English and Spanish preferred to ensure effective communication with all team members
