Job Summary
Assist an outgoing client with physical disabilities in daily personal care, including transfers, hoisting, showering, dressing, and domestic duties. Support the client with community access by driving them to activities and appointments using their own vehicle. Collaborate with the care team to facilitate physio programs and other professional guidance. Maintain varied shift coverage including mornings, evenings, weekends, sleepovers, and active night shifts. Hold a full driver's license and be comfortable providing transport. Complete the NDIS Worker Screening Check and adhere to vaccination recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting people with a physical disability including transfers/use of equipment and confident in hoisting
- Experience in personal care (showering and dressing)
- Assistance with Domestic duties
- Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives
- Great patience
- Willingness to put in the time and energy to build rapport with our client
- Willingness to work with a care team approach and incorporate the guidance of professionals
- Good judgement and common sense
- Listening skills
- Willingness to learn
