Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the float pool serving North Fulton, Cherokee, Roswell, and Alpharetta areas, performing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and case reviews to ensure safe, high-quality care while documenting progress and promoting a respectful clinical environment. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching, adapting service delivery to reflect cultural diversity and population-specific needs. Maintain licensure under the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, complete mandatory education, and serve as a preceptor or mentor to support the nursing workforce. Participate in the Clinical Champion Forum and evidence-based practice initiatives to drive performance improvement and safety goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Nursing-Preferred or Accredited Program Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 2 years Experience with direct patient care
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Ability to optimize the use of technology to support clinical care
- Ability to hold basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to practice nursing using evidence and analytical skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- ACLS/PALS
- Ability to complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment
- Ability to complete required mandatory education
- Ability to complete population specific education
