Job Summary
Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice to deliver individualized, relationship-based patient-centered care. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication through rounds and case reviews, ensuring timely documentation and safe quality patient care across the care continuum. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide just-in-time teaching, while participating in performance improvement activities, research utilization, and the Clinical Champion Forum. Mentor staff and students, complete mandatory education, and contribute to protocol development to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Requires a BSN, RN license, BLS, and 2+ years direct patient care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Nursing-Preferred or Accredited Program Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 2 years Experience with direct patient care
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Ability to optimize the use of technology to support clinical care
- Ability to hold basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills
- Possessing strong critical thinking skills
- ACLS/PALS may be required in some practice areas
