Job Summary
Obtain and document vital signs, perform 12-lead EKGs, and conduct bedside blood sugar testing. Administer superficial wound care, oral suctioning, and splint application while maintaining aseptic technique for sterile tray preparation and phlebotomy. Monitor cardiac rhythms to recognize arrhythmias, transport patients and equipment, and manage telesitter cart connectivity and room safety guidelines. Document observations for patients in restraint or seclusion and ensure the patient care area remains stocked.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with desktop computer
- Demonstrate willingness to be a team-player
- Demonstrate willingness to be a self-starter
- Proficiency obtaining vital signs using manual processes
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
