Job Summary
Senior Associate in WM Investment Risk & Analytics overseeing risk oversight of Managed Strategies across JPMorgan’s Private Bank and Consumer Bank. Responsibilities include identifying and assessing risk, recommending risk mitigation strategies and escalating issues to senior management; collaborating with Investment Research Team, Investment and Operational Due Diligence Teams to understand risk profiles of funds and portfolios; participating in deep-dive reviews analyzing top portfolio risks and exposures in the context of market events; developing understanding of methodologies, processes and procedures and suggesting enhancements; representing Risk in working groups/meetings and reviewing key risk issues; working with controls and policy governance teams to ensure documentation aligns with firm-wide initiatives and audit/regulatory requirements; assisting efforts to improve risk transparency and infrastructure; technical writing skills a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Engineering or similar fields; Master's degree in Finance or similar fields, CFA, FRM a plus
- At least 5 years’ experience in Financial Services, with at least 1-3 years related to Risk management or Investment risk
- Experience with investment products across multiple asset classes such as fixed income and equities
- Analytically inclined with knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau) or programming (Python, VBA) as an added advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, collaborative and inquisitive nature
- Comfortable working with large, diverse data sets
