Job Summary
Calibrate WL UT and WMS equipment, run inspections per ASNT SNT-TC-1A and API standards, and organize test results with accurate paperwork. Separate pipe requiring further evaluation and confirm real weight matches expected weight. Report material and equipment issues to the supervisor, assist in repair and replacement during maintenance shutdowns, and provide training to other NDT inspectors. This role ensures all inspected materials meet SeAH Steel USA quality standards within the OCTG pipe inspection industry.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry
- At least Level I certificate on EMI, MFL or EC
- Knowledge and experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry
- Familiar with requirements of ASNT SNT TC-1A
- Successful completion of pre-screen drug test and physical
- Must be detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds
- The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE
- Ability to see 20-20 when corrected
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Level II certificate is preferred
