Job Summary
Take vital signs as required, conduct intake screens and assess potential patients regarding drug/alcohol use and medical history, and provide case management services including individual and group sessions. Monitor medications in accordance with physician instructions, verify monitoring reports, and assist in treatment referrals while informing the supervisor of incidents beyond typical functions. Coordinate and monitor patient activities within the Withdrawal Management unit during the 3rd shift (12 midnight to 8:00 am).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of HS diploma or GED
- Current certification as a Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) or the ability to obtain certification within 18 months from the hire date
- Prior experience with the substance misuse field, providing direct patient care, assessment, triage, crisis intervention, and group counseling
- Solid communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- CPR and First-Aid certification
- Must be able to take vital signs and recognize medical problems
- Must undergo a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana
- Must undergo a comprehensive background check
- Must undergo a TB Test
- Availability for 3rd shift 12 midnight to 8:00 am
Desired Qualifications
- A degree in human services or a related field, such as an AA or BA
