Job Summary
Wiring Technician tasked with entry-level support for electrical assembly, wiring components into enclosures per engineering drawings and instructions. Responsibilities include assembling, terminating, mounting electrical controls, reading schematics, using hand tools and equipment (crimpers, drills, overhead cranes, pallet jacks), maintaining a safe and organized work area, assisting with packing finished products for shipping, and reporting missing materials or production issues. The role emphasizes learning wiring techniques, consistency with quality standards, teamwork, and continuous improvement under mentorship. Requires High School Diploma or GED and 0-1 years in related hands-on environments; schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays; located in Belle Chasse, LA. Safety-focused and commitment to meeting production deadlines are expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 0-1 years of experience using hand tools in a skilled labor environment
- 0-1 years of experience in electrical or manufacturing assembly
- Ability to read and interpret schematics or documents to determine component parts, methods, and sequencing
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and safety procedures
- Active listening and verbal/written communication skills
- Time management and teamwork/coordination
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment
- Attendance and punctuality requirements
- FLSA non-exempt, hourly position, overtime as needed
