Job Summary
Wiring Harness Design Engineer responsible for electrical wiring harness design, EWIS builds and lab operations in compliance with AS-50881 and aerospace quality standards. Lead and implement manufacturing plans, develop methodologies for the Electrical Wire Harness Integration Laboratory, and collaborate with suppliers on material procurement and lean implementations. Interface with internal stakeholders, troubleshoot, and support design, fabrication & testing activities for flight test installations. Must apply knowledge of wire harness manufacturing processes (wire cutting, routing, splicing, crimping, soldering, shielding, assembly, testing) and design harnesses per requirements while maintaining compliance with AS standards. Proficiency with CATIA v6 (3DEXPERIENCE), Solidworks Electrical, and Siemens Capital; strong communication and teamwork skills; awareness of AS9100D quality system; hands-on fabrication experience.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech Electrical or Electronics or Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with at least 3+ years of experience working on aerospace / automotive wiring harness design
Desired Qualifications
- B.Tech Electrical or Electronics or Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with at least 3+ years of experience in aerospace/automotive wiring harness design
- Hands-on experience in fabricating electrical components
- Knowledge of AS9100 D quality management system awareness
- Proficiency with CATIA v6 (3DEXPERIENCE), Solidworks Electrical, Siemens Capital
- Experience with wiring harness manufacturing processes (wire cutting, routing, splicing, crimping, soldering, shielding, harness assembly, testing)
- Familiarity with AS-50881 and IPC/WHMA-A-620
