Job Summary
Wireperson II responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and components. Reads schematics/blueprints, uses hand tools (crimpers, strippers, torquing tools, calibrating tools), runs and bundles wires per Powell standards, installs devices, CTs, CAT5/6 cables, and fiber optics, and conducts in-process inspections. Collaborates with electricians and technicians, supports root cause analysis on engineering changes, adheres to safety regulations, and promotes a safety culture in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment. Emphasizes reading single/three-line drawings, following ISO requirements, and maintaining organized work areas; requires ability to lift up to 50lbs and work with PPE.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum education level of a High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma is preferred
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing
- Ability to read and understand point-to-point wiring diagrams
- Ability to read and use a tape measure
- Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Safely use variety of hand/power tools
- Lift up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques
