Job Summary
Conduct electrical installation and removal tasks on substation equipment for power transmission, distribution, and generation, including wiring relays. Oversee cable/conduit installation, preparation, and terminations in electrical substations and control rooms. Read schematics and wiring diagrams to install/modify Protection and Control wiring in accordance with engineering designs. Safely identify energized components and execute Lockout/Tagout procedures while developing site risk assessments for high-risk activities. Prepare daily, weekly, and project completion reports documenting progress, issues, and test results. Maintain accurate project drawing management and ensure continuous updates to field copies reflecting the as-left condition.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of recent Wireman experience
- Medical Card certified by a DOT Medical Examiner or the ability to obtain one within an agreed upon timeframe
- the ability to obtain a TWIC card
- Subject to random alcohol and drug testing requirements and background checks
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to properly inspect PPE and follow Company safety rules and policies
