Job Summary
Wireline Field Engineer/Specialist III at Weatherford in Benbrook, TX (Full Time) leads and supports Weatherford Wireline operations using a suite of logging tools (wireline logging, density, neutron porosity, resistivity, sonic, imager, well integrity) and compact memory logging in wells with challenging boreholes. Responsible for preparing and reviewing logs, data, and reports, participating in geological surveys, managing tool calibration and preventative maintenance, coordinating winch operations and depth control, and ensuring compliance with operational policies. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 4 years of wireline field engineering experience, with 60% field time and 60% domestic travel. Position posted by Weatherford U.S., L.P. and located in Benbrook, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in wireline field engineering
- Experience with field compact memory logging services at wellsite locations and well integrity logging tools
- Experience with OH (Open Hole) and CH (Cased Hole) services on location
- Experience with resistivity, nuclear-porosity/lithology, micro imaging, sonic logging (monopole/dipole), formation tester, mineralogy, well integrity, and casing integrity
- Experience with radiation, ballast/ballistics, pressure control, rig up, data processing, and data delivery to end-clients; and preventative maintenance
- Experience with winch operation, depth control, tension, fishing, data acquisition, tool response, and field troubleshooting
- Experience with OH and CH memory logging in vertical and high deviated wells using compact logging tools
- Remote logging operations
- 60% of time in the field; 60% domestic travel to oil fields within the U.S.
