Job Summary
Lead multidisciplinary programs through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to develop custom and semi-custom modules powering consumer products. Partner with the AR wireless engineering team to define, design, and execute hardware projects while managing development schedules and identifying risks with mitigation strategies. Work cross-functionally to establish best practices, coordinate engineering deliverables such as architecture definitions, and ensure timely firmware releases for factory builds. Track and report engineering issues during the build process, providing regular status updates to leadership. Collaborate with internal and external partners to establish requirements and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience with component and module qualification, validation, and characterization processes
- 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager or Technical Program Manager, managing hardware or firmware projects from concept to mass production
- 3+ years of experience working with wireless hardware module projects
- 3+ years of wireless design and/or implementation experience, in hardware and/or firmware
- In-depth knowledge of the product development process for consumer wireless hardware, including firmware integration to meet hardware delivery goals
- Experience in communicating and operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects
