Job Summary
Wireless Systems Engineer role focusing on development of 6G System Architecture and Core Network technology. Responsibilities include researching, analyzing and designing core network architectures, interfaces and protocols for next-generation networks; designing interfaces and protocols between 6G core networks and radio access networks; developing NAS protocols between user equipment and Core Network for 6G; researching AIML procedures for 6G network and enhancing 6G Network to support AIML applications; contributing to InterDigital's 6G system architecture and core network technology roadmap; actively participating in 3GPP standardization through company contributions and representation at SA & CT Working Groups. Requires B.Eng./M.S./Ph.D. in EE (preferred), 7-10 years in wireless, plus knowledge of 3GPP Standards and leadership capabilities; located in London, UK.
Required Qualifications
- B.Eng., M.S., or Ph.D. (preferred) in Electrical Engineering (or similar / equivalent)
- At least 7-10 years of experience in the field of wireless communications
- Experience in design and/or research in wireless air interfaces and systems
- Experience and/or knowledge of 3GPP Standards, preferably also with standards processes including SA2 and CT1
- Strong analytical, technical, innovative and leadership skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, innovative, collaborative and team-oriented work environment
- Willingness to take challenges in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
