Job Summary

Design, tune, and optimize radio frequency networks for advanced fourth-generation and fifth-generation mobile systems in multi-vendor environments. Analyze network behavior, interpret performance data and drive-test results, and propose practical changes to improve coverage, capacity, and overall network quality. Address accessibility, retainability, and handover success issues while creating and managing projects in radio planning tools for tilt, azimuth optimization, and new site proposals. Recommend parameter changes and feature activations to enhance live network performance, evaluating the impact of additional carriers and inter-radio access technology procedures. Coordinate technical activities with project teams and customer stakeholders to support large-scale wireless programs. Requires extensive travel within the United States and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
  • equivalent applicable experience
  • Recent experience in radio network design
  • Recent experience in radio network implementation
  • Recent experience in radio network tuning
  • Recent experience in radio network optimization
  • Strong understanding of fourth-generation and fifth-generation technologies
  • Strong understanding of New Radio
  • Strong understanding of Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output
  • Strong understanding of millimeter wave
  • Strong understanding of License Assisted Access
  • Strong understanding of Internet of Things
  • Strong understanding of Citizens Broadband Radio Service
  • Strong understanding of multi-vendor environments
  • Good understanding of Layer 3 messaging
  • Hands-on experience with radio planning and optimization tools
  • Hands-on experience with Planet EV
  • Hands-on experience with Atoll
  • Hands-on experience with TEMS Investigation
  • Hands-on experience with Actix
  • Hands-on experience with Agilent
  • Hands-on experience with Rohde & Schwarz
  • Ability to work with link budgets
  • Ability to perform project setup in planning platforms
  • Ability to perform site location planning
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret performance data
  • Ability to interpret drive-test results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage expectations
  • Ability to travel extensively within the United States as required
  • Valid work permit in Canada
