Job Summary
Design and develop scalable, highly available wireless network architectures that align with enterprise goals and industry best practices. Define and enforce wireless standards, including RF planning, authentication frameworks, encryption protocols, and performance optimization across multi-vendor environments. Conduct predictive modeling and site surveys to ensure optimal RF coverage and client density, while integrating AI-driven insights for proactive monitoring and self-healing network capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies with business initiatives and provide strategic guidance on emerging technologies. Act as an escalation engineer for high-severity production issues, working with vendors to identify tactical and strategic solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of proven experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale wireless enterprise networks
- project delivery with focus on user experience, performance optimization and scalability
- Extensive experience in wireless network engineering, design, and optimization in enterprise environments
- Deep understanding of RF engineering principles and WLAN technologies, including Wi-Fi 6/6E and 802.11ac standards
- Strong background in wireless network security, including authentication, encryption, and compliance frameworks
- Proficient in the use of site survey and RF planning tools for predictive and real-time analysis
- Experience with multi-vendor wireless ecosystems and interoperability planning
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and proactive network management practices
- Hands-on experience in large-scale wireless deployments across campus, retail, or high-density environments
- Knowledge of location-based services, BLE technologies, and mobile engagement strategies
- Experience analyzing, gathering, and auditing large-scale and complex data sets to uncover new trends and patterns that influence architecture direction
- Proven experience recommending network improvements, including cost/benefit analysis, to meet changing business requirements
- Prior experience planning large-scale projects through vendor comparison and cost studies
- Sharp troubleshooting faculties, deductive reasoning, and careful attention to detail
- Independent and self-directed work ethic when participating in a collaborative environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Dedicated commitment to service availability and quality user experience
- Must be results driven with a strong sense of urgency
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
