Job Summary
Wireless Firmware Engineer for Starlink Mobile focusing on designing and implementing PHY algorithms for satellite-based 4G/5G, developing optimized signal processing for resource-constrained CPUs, modeling and validating system performance, and contributing to the protocol stack (PHY/MAC). Requires hands-on work with C/C++/Matlab, knowledge of 3GPP 4G/5G, DSP concepts, Linux, Git, Python, and SDR hardware/software experience; prior experience with end-to-end firmware development and performance debugging is expected. Additional requirements include willingness to work extended hours and ITAR compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a STEM discipline
- 1+ Years of experience with at least 1 of: wireless signal processing, wireless communications, modem systems design, wireless systems engineering, DSP, or physical layer processing (L1)
- 1+ Years of C/C++ or Matlab coding experience
Additional Requirements
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), Refugee or Asylee or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State (ITAR)
