Job Summary
Review drawings, interpret blueprints, and calculate wire rope cut lengths to fabricate and assemble rope products for construction, energy, and mining applications. Operate industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts to splice wire rope and fabricate chain slings while maintaining inventory records and reporting defective materials. Attach proper tags, manage shipping and receiving, and keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with safety guidelines and the "Stop Work" policy. Perform mechanical tasks requiring stamina, lifting up to 75 lbs, and precise hand-eye coordination in a warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. of weight routinely during daily operations
- Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses)
- Precise hand-eye coordination
- Good control of fine motor skills
- Must be able to hear warnings or communicate effectively over industrial sounds
- Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background check
- Be able to provide valid documentation in accordance with I-9 document
- Willing to travel to various work sites or training as required
- Willing to work overtime, nights and weekends when necessary
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures and comply with the Company's Stop Work policy
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as directed
- Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and Supervisor with other duties as required
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure or digital micrometer
- Must be able to manage your time
- Must be persistent, energetic, and reliable
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with industrial tools like cutting machines, swagers, crimping tools, and winches is preferred
- Prior experience in the construction, equipment or oil industry is preferred
