Job Summary
Set up and operate Wire EDM machines, loading material and fixtures for production runs while reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings. Verify dimensions, perform machine offsets, and make program adjustments to maintain tight tolerances on tool steel components. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment and uphold quality standards throughout the shift. Work with hardened materials in a clean, climate-controlled environment. Training occurs on the day shift before transitioning to the night schedule from 3:30 PM to midnight.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Wire EDM or related machining experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Experience holding tight tolerances on precision components
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
- Night Shift Schedule
- Training on Day Shift, transition to nights
- 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM (Mon-Fri)
- 45-50 hours/week (OT Required)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with tool steel strongly preferred
- Experience with Mitsubishi, Makino, Fanuc, or similar Wire EDM equipment is a plus
