Job Summary
On-site Wire EDM Field Service Technician responsible for diagnosing complex technical problems and performing on-site repairs at customer locations for Mitsubishi Machining products. The role requires extensive travel (primarily within the US, with potential international travel), reading mechanical drawings and schematics, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, documenting problems and resolutions, and maintaining professional communication with customers. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, and valid driver’s license are required. Heavy emphasis on travel, on-site troubleshooting, and accurate documentation of service activities.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year Electronic or Technical Degree, or equivalent experience
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems
- Working knowledge of electrical measurement and inspection techniques (Voltmeter, Oscilloscope)
- Skilled in mechanical measurement and inspection techniques (Dial Indicators, Micrometers, Calipers)
- Extensive travel necessary, current valid driver's license required
- CNC programming skills a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Ability to operate computer using Windows operating systems
