Job Summary
Conduct tax-related tasks for firm clients within a team-based environment, working with Managers and Partners on assignments involving trial balances, work papers, account reconciliations, journal entries, and federal and state tax returns. Interact with clients and firm members to gather necessary information, identify engagement issues, and communicate status updates to supervisors. Prioritize multiple tasks while utilizing the firm's accounting and tax networks, with a Career Advocate assisting in setting personalized goals. This seasonal 40-hour weekly role from January through mid-April offers exposure to the national real estate practice and Assurance industries, introducing interns to RubinBrown's public accounting field.
Required Qualifications
- Working toward Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
- Minimum GPA of 3.20/4.00 or higher
- Exhibit an understanding of basic accounting concepts
- Be detail oriented, perform work accurately
- Be organized and communicate status of engagements in a timely manner
- Be proficient with MS Office
- Incorporate feedback from supervisors in a timely manner
