Job Summary
Be knowledgeable of and enforce federal, state and district policies; ensure safety and welfare of all participants in practices, transportation, and competitions; develop strategies to encourage participation in all athletic programs; manage equipment inventory and related district procedures; supervise and coordinate coaching staff including volunteers; oversee budgets tied to the athletic program and ensure proper supervision by certified staff for head coach role; standard coaching responsibilities and adherence to NO Pass/NO Play policy; maintain professional conduct with students, officials, and the community.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a current CPR certification
- Meet all coaching qualifications, course requirements and certifications as determined by federal, state and District criteria
- Pass background investigation as outlined by the District
- Be recommended by Principal or designee
- Receive Governing Board approval
- Possess an active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Possess a valid Arizona Teacher or Substitute Certificate (for Head Coach)
