Job Summary
Operate the assigned shuttle bus or vehicle over any route, adhering to Federal, State, and Killington Resort regulations while performing daily pre and post trip inspections. Provide guests with real-time information on resort services, ski conditions, and events via the PA system or in person. Anticipate other shuttle locations to maintain system efficiency, manage announcements, and answer guest inquiries while avoiding pedestrians and vehicles. Staff shuttle stops to facilitate easy access and provide updates on operating status. Maintain daily light maintenance, including cleaning seats and floors, checking gauges and tires, and performing tire chain installation as needed. Report equipment service issues to the Vehicle Maintenance Department and complete daily record keeping for ridership and timing. Work outside for up to 10 hours in a winter alpine environment, requiring winter driving experience and a valid U.S. driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must report any traffic violations or suspensions
- Must have a valid U.S. driver's license
- Must be at least 25 years old
- Must possess an excellent driving record and be able to supply proof of an excellent driving record
- Must have some winter driving experience
- Must be able to perform duties in winter alpine environment and be able to work outside for up to 10 hours
- Must be honest and have the highest integrity
- Able to handle a fast paced, potentially high-pressure environment
- Must be flexible with hours and days of work and be able to work any hours of the day, any days of the week including weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Previous guest relation skills preferred
- Two years CDL driving preferred
