Job Summary
Serve guests with fast, efficient food and beverage service while maintaining cleanliness, accurate sales accounting, and a fun, safe, sanitary environment. Coordinate business flow between the restaurant and bar, act as a liaison between staff and management, and ensure all stations are well-equipped and clean before opening. Provide drink and menu descriptions using suggestive selling techniques, handle cash reconciliation, and tip out as designated. Maintain work areas, check restrooms, restock condiments, and perform general cleaning duties. Clock in once appearance requirements are met, attend daily meetings, and review shifts with the manager. This seasonal position offers a season pass and various resort discounts, with pay starting at $12.14.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three-year FOH bar service experience
- TIPS certification
- Previous fine dining experience
- Working knowledge of local liquor and health codes
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to walk for a large part of the work day
- Ability to negotiate stairs
- Ability to lift and move 50# often
- Ability to use, move and load hand trucks
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, any times or days needed
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Must be able to hear normal conversations in a busy, crowded environment
- Vision must be within normal range to work safely and to read written information
- Must have the dexterity to use all equipment and utensils normally associated with this position
- Must be fluent in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must own non-slip shoes
- Must be at least 18 years old
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED necessary
- Three-year FOH bar service experience preferable
- TIPS certification preferable, may be obtained after employment
- Previous fine dining experience required with emphasis on fine wine and spirits
