Job Summary
Greet guests, engage in conversation with a smile, and recommend merchandise with a focus on in-house brands while answering questions about price and product use. Stock shelves, rotate stock for freshness, and set up displays to promote sales. Maintain neat sales floors, clean aisles and tables, and ensure price tags are fresh and readable. Operate cash registers, receive payments, and use RF scanner equipment to manage inventory. Provide feedback on fast or slow-moving products and assist with inventory processes as needed. Carry products weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Maintain a valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit and work any shift, including Fridays and Saturdays, in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Age 21 or older
- Valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit
- Valid Food Handlers Permit (in some cases)
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos
- Ability to communicate with and understand coworkers and guests
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals
- Ability to calculate discounts and percentages
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday
- Must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds or more occasionally
- Must be able to push and/or pull 50 to 100 pounds or more regularly
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to walk
