Job Summary
The Wine Sales Ambassador (WSA) is responsible for driving direct-to-consumer wine sales and promoting wine club memberships by creating exceptional guest experiences. Key responsibilities include hosting wine tastings, presenting benefits of wine club membership, achieving individual and team sales goals, and engaging with guests to foster brand loyalty. Candidates must have a strong sales aptitude, previous experience in a tasting room or DTC role, excellent communication skills, and a passion for wine. The position requires flexibility to work across all Wente venues and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated sales aptitude and passion for sharing the story of the vines to the bottle
- Proven results and experience in a tasting room, previous sales or DTC role
- Proven experience contributing and reaching goals as part of a team
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skill
- At least 21 years of age and have a valid Driver’s License
- Able to speak and read English fluently
- Must be available to work a minimum of three shifts per week, including weekend and holiday availability
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of and a passion for wine, food and the wine industry
- Knowledge of Wine Direct and Cellar Pass or the ability to quickly learn these programs
