Job Summary
Wine & Spirits Clerk duties include providing prompt, friendly customer service in the Wine & Spirits department, educating customers about products, rotating and replenishing merchandise, setting up displays, and assisting with inventory. The role requires adhering to liquor and tobacco policies, maintaining sanitation and cleanliness, and working in a fast-paced environment. The position involves assisting customers in-store, ringing sales, and supporting store operations with occasional duties beyond the department. Night and weekend shifts are required; no formal education is needed, and 6+ months up to 1 year of related experience is preferred. Location: Newton, IA.
Required Qualifications
- No education requirement
- Over six months up to one year of similar or related work experience
- Physical requirements: exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; up to 20 pounds frequently; up to 10 pounds constantly
- Must be physically able to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Knowledge of local, state, and company policies on tobacco and liquor
- Two wheeler, cash register, pallet jack, box cutter, feather duster, and telephone handling skills
