Job Summary
Hands-on, guest-facing leadership role supervising the wine and bar experience for all guests. Responsibilities include hosting wine, bar and drinks service; in-depth beverage knowledge across wine, champagne, cocktails, whisky, and non-alcoholic options; creating wine flights and seasonal/signature drinks; quality control of drink storage; coordinating stock and bar supplies; supporting Bo & Muc and 1887 Restaurant teams; ensuring Forbes 5-star service standards, anticipation of guest needs, and delivering a luxurious drinks experience; managing cash and bar takings, wine cellar operations, health and safety compliance, and end-of-shift security; supervising training and knowledge sharing within the team; driving sustainability initiatives and ESG policy engagement; and maintaining a personable host presence to elevate the guest experience in a unique Highlands setting.
Required Qualifications
- WSET level 2 (preferred)
- Previous experience in a similar role within a quality-led hospitality environment
- A natural host with warm and engaging manner
- Attentive to detail with calm and thoughtful service
- A team player with ability to support and inspire others
- Formal training or qualifications in wine/beverages (advantageous)
